So — been using this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — type in stake and odds and you get the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here irish lotto bet calculator — free, no signup.

One thing that actually changed how I bet is the more serious tools. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent when I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. The layout feels very functional, let’s say — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
